Mr. Basant Kumar, a 1983 batch Civil Engineering graduate from IIT Roorkee, is a former Executive Director from IRCON International Limited. He is seasoned professional with around four decades of experience in Corporate Coordination, Project Management, Business Development, Procurement, Contracts, Arbitration & Techno-legal matters and execution of critical & large value infrastructure projects in both National & International arena. He has managed & successfully completed projects in Highways, Railways, Bridges, Buildings, Airports, Industrial structures as construction of electrified double track railway project, Station Buildings, Ancillary Structures in Malaysia, Flyovers in Indonesia, Delhi Mathura National Highway, Noida Greater Noida Expressway, Major Bridge at Hindon River, Married Accommodation Projects for Ministry of Defense and Feasibility Studies, DPR, Cost Estimate of Seremban Port Dickson Railway Line in Malaysia.

He has passion in Human Resource Management, Recruitment, Development & Management of Educational Institute (Founder Chairman of IMC of ITI, Dholpurat Rajasthan). Conducting Training on Project management, Estimates, Tenders, Contracts, Dispute Resolution, Procurement, Environment, Health & Safety on Projects. Conducted Technical Audit, Financial Audit, Quality Audit on Projects.

He has attended course on Executive Development programme at IIM Ahmedabad and “Extension of Time, Delay Analysis & Liquidated Damages” organized by the Hill International Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., Malaysia at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

He is a recipient of Union Railway Minster’s Award for his “Meritorious Performance” for the construction of Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala, Punjab in 1988. He is Chartered Engineer and Fellow of The Institution of Engineers (India).
